The Circaid Profile is a foam sleeve garment designed specifically for patients who require nighttime use or have sensitivity concerns. Circaid®: Inspired by… Giraffes
Inspired by the natural world, the concept and creation of Circaid products draw inspiration from the giraffe. Frank Shaw, the founder, developed the first inelastic compression device by studying the anatomy of giraffe legs. Unlike humans, giraffe skin does not expand on the legs. This is due to the high concentration of inelastic collagen fibers and the relatively thick outer layer of skin. These factors increase tissue pressure, facilitating lymphatic and venous return flow. Giraffes naturally experience constant compression.
